Thinkuknow: Online Safety at Home

30th Mar 2020

Thinkuknow is the education programme of the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) aimed at young people and their safe use of the internet. It is based around three key themes:
• How to have fun
• How to stay in control (or how to take control)
• How to report a problem
As you guide and supervise your child/children with their learning at home we are aware of the advantages of accessing apps, stories, videos and games to support and consolidate learning. As parents and teachers, we must also be aware of the dangers and be vigilant in managing and monitoring online activities.
During this time of increased internet use, Thinkuknow would like to share with you three 'age related' activity packages, created by the CEOP to help support children and their families over the coming weeks and months. Each pack contains simple 15-minute activities which you can do at home with your child/children using the Thinkuknow resources.
Thinkuknow plan to upload new activities fortnightly which we will post onto the school’s website homepage. Making an Online Safety activity part of our home learning routine will ensure we are continuing to equip our children to develop lifelong E-safety skills.
Our school’s website has further information to support you as parents with online learning and screen time. It can be found on the home screen bar at www.moneynickps.com then click the blue Curriculum tab, scroll down to ICT and across to Online Safety.#keepsafeonline
