Primary 4-7 pupils from the Duneane and Moneynick:Partners in Learning were not distracted today by Storm Brendan. Instead their concentration focused on ‘Storm Izak9’. With a plan, do, review approach the children were led by Ian to explore patterns, number and shape through the formation of 27 smaller cubes. Ian was highly impressed by their level of mathematical vocabulary, their thinking skills, problem solving and their ability to work with each other to achieve team success. During the afternoon the teachers consolidated the teaching of practical maths through this innovative teaching resource. Everyone is buzzing with excitement and just can't wait until shared lessons begin.
