RISE Resources for Parents
RISE NI stands for Regional Integrated Support for Education NI, and they provide support to all mainstream primary schools in the Northern Health & Social Care Trust (NHSCT) area to support staff and children in P1-4.
The service focuses on 4 main areas of development:
- social, emotional and / or behaviour
- speech, language and communication
- gross motor skills
- sensory processing, fine motor and visual perceptual skills
There regional aim is to support children in schools by working closely with parents and staff to help children develop the foundation skills for learning.

UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
Article 18 :
Both parents share responsibility for bringing up their child and should always consider what is best for the child.
Governments must support parents by creating support services for children and giving parents the help they need to raise their children.
