π¨β¨ Painting with Pointillism β¨π¨
Today, our artists in P1/2/3 explored the amazing art technique of Pointillism with a fun twist! Instead of brushes, they used their fingers to create colourful masterpieces, one dot at a time. ππ©βπ¨π¨βπ¨
Pointillism is a technique where tiny distinct dots of paint rather than traditional brushstrokes, come together to form beautiful pictures from vibrant flowers to playful animals. A fun way to explore colours and shapes, while experimenting with how individual dots can blend together from a distance to form a cohesive picture. This technique encourages fine motor skills, colour recognition, and an understanding of how visual perception works when colours blend at a distance.
Itβs amazing to see how something as simple as finger painting can bring out such beautiful works of art and teach important lessons about colour blending, patience and creativity! ποΈβ¨
