Cross Country Success
The sun shone over the Lough as we made our way onto 'Kill Hill' to compete in the inaugural Creggan Cross Country Race. With a strong start our girls positioned themselves to the front of the runners. Three times around 'Kill Hill' challenged their endurance, pace, resilience and determination. With the finishing line in sight, they powered through with the 6 girls placing in the top 9 runners, securing the girls' trophy in style. As the starting whistle blew for the boys' race our team positioned themselves in a tight formation. Leading from the front the boys ran the race as professionals, hitting the hill with strength and keeping their team mates in sight, securing the overall trophy. The standard of running was so incredible that our pupils also claimed individual trophies for the third placed girl and first and second in the boys race.
A massive thank you to Creggan Primary School, the organisers, competing schools and to all our parents over the past weeks for your commitment to our cross country coaching.
What an incredible and impressive result today.
