Children's Mental Health Week
Children's Mental Health Week 2022 is taking place 7th-13th February. The theme this year is Growing Together. Growing Together is about growing emotionally and finding ways to help each other grow. Challenges and setbacks can help us to grow and adapt and trying new things can help us to move beyond our comfort zone into a new realm of possibility and potential. We must remember, emotional growth is often a gradual process that happens over time, and sometimes we might feel a bit ‘stuck’. Lessons delivered in each class will encourage pupils to consider how they have grown and how they can help others to grow.
Primary 4-7 will begin the week with many classroom across the north on a virtual link with HIP Psychology.
The Children's Mental Health Week Megathon Extravaganza Workshop will focus on 'Pupil Growth'.
The Three pillars explored will be:
1. Growing Through Setbacks - How to learn from Setbacks - Responsibility over Blame
2. Growing Our Emotional Health - Increasing our Self Awareness - Emotions are Contagious
3. Growing Together - Be a Great Class Member - Together Stronger
